Challenging and complex issues create homelessness. It is very hard for us to understand how this can happen. But no matter what we understand, it is our responsibility to help care for everyone in our community. It is so very cold outside, so every November we have a collection box. We collect mostly gloves, hats (not pink please) and socks. Keep us in mind when you want to find a way to give to our homeless neighbor. We take them to the men's shelter downtown as well as the women and children's shelter—Hope Place.
We are a drop off site for gently used and new bra's. These bras are sent to help women in Africa and Central America that have been rescued from the sex trade industry. This non-profit has created a way of keeping the women out of sex trading by teaching them a way to earn a living through their own businesses.
